This past Saturday, the Padel4Good community gathered once again at Racket + Ball Padel Club in Bree Street for our first mixed tournament of 2026 — and what a morning it was.

With 32 players taking to the courts, the atmosphere was set from the start: great energy, competitive rallies, plenty of laughter and, most importantly, a shared commitment to playing for a greater purpose.

From the opening round, teams brought intensity and sportsmanship in equal measure, creating an exciting tournament that kept spectators and players engaged throughout the morning. The level of play showcased the growth of the Padel4Good community, with partnerships forming seamlessly and momentum building match by match.

As the tournament progressed into the knockout stages, the competition tightened, leading to a thrilling final between Shaun Fraser & Michelle Collins and Michelle van Staden & Ryan Stein. Both teams delivered an entertaining match filled with strong teamwork, strategic play and impressive shot-making.

Congratulations to Shaun Fraser & Michelle Collins, who secured first place after a standout performance, and to Michelle van Staden & Ryan Stein for finishing as deserving runners-up.

Beyond the results, the tournament represented everything Padel4Good strives to create — a space where people can connect through sport while contributing to meaningful causes. Thanks to the support of our players, sponsors and venue partner, this event will contribute towards initiatives that make a real difference in the community.

A meaningful outcome of the day was the R10 000 donation raised through this tournament, which will be directed towards Amazeballs to support the development of a playground installation for Goal50 in Heideveld. This initiative forms part of creating safe, engaging spaces where young children can play, learn and feel a sense of belonging within their community.

Knowing that a morning of padel can contribute to something so tangible and lasting is what continues to drive the purpose behind every Padel4Good event.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Racket + Ball Padel Club for hosting us in their beautiful facility and to every player who showed up, competed with heart and embraced the spirit of the day.

As always, the smiles, shared moments and collective energy on and off the court remind us that Padel4Good is about more than competition — it's about community, collaboration and impact.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the next tournament as we continue to grow, give back and play with purpose.

On the 28th of March we will be hosting the Men's Elite Padel4Good Tournament and we hope to see you there.
